HWR #148 09/01/15 The Crazies

WOW, what a sad week of wrestling news! The crazies really came out to play! We had a shooting at the WWE Performance Center, Seth's g/f got fired for Nazi pony pics, Bram got arrested for domestic violence again, Hogan apologized on TV, and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka got arrested for the murder of his g/f that happened over 30 years ago! Holy crap! We talked all about these issues! Next, we talked about the happenings on RAW and how much of a fail the Diva's Beat the Clock Challenge was and how much of a win the Tag Team Revolution is! Of course, we touched on the NXT TakeUnder Brooklyn episode from last Wednesday, it wasn't as much of a hit as TakeOver. then, we capped it all off with a little bit of ROH and local indie talk!

HWR #147 08/25/15 Marathon Mode 2.0

What a weekend! NXT TakeOver Brooklyn, SummerSlam and the RAW after were all amazing! We had a ton of things to talk about and we were drowning in Match Of the Week Candidates! We might have even picked a Match Of The Year Candidate! And he three big surprises on RAW were a great way to finish string of shows! But, that doesn't mean that we did not have things to criticize; there was plenty of that as well! Also, we had a great interview with local female wrestler Kenzie Sykes! She had some interesting thing to say about leaving ROW and showing up at Lonestar Championship Wrestling! If you've been a fan of the local indie wrestling scene, you will enjoy this interview! Also, Abel was the ring announcer for Texas All Pro Wrestling for the first time this past Saturday! How did he do? Well, we'll let Chris handle that! This is a huge episode that is packed with great content!

HWR #146 08/18/15 Cool For The SummerFest

This weekend is going to be busy! On Saturday we have NXT TakeOver Brooklyn! Then on Sunday we have SummerSlam! We did full previews for both huge events with our predictions and anticipation levels! Will they both live up to our expectations? Will any titles change hands? Will Travis fall asleep during the show? Many questions will be answered this weekend! And the question of "What match won the HWR SummerSlam Showdown?" has been answered! Also, this Saturday is Texas All Pro Wrestling and our very own Abel will the ring announcer for the entire event! That leads us to last weekend; Lonestar Championship Wrestling had another great event and we did a quick review of it! Also, NJPW had their G1 Climax ppv and Chris was a big fan of this show and he has a potential Match Of The Year Candidate from it... It's a good time to be a wrestling fan in Houston! 

HWR #145 Saving The Best For Ultima

This week we had a lot of things to gripe over from WWE. But when is that not the case? But there were a few good things to come out of RAW too! for example, the backstage segment with Steven Amell and HHH. Of course we tallied up the votes for the Semi-finals for HWR SummerSlam Showdown and next week's finals are gonna be good! after a break we look at NXT and ROH but none of that compares to the season finale of Lucha Underground! Ultima Lucha was a great show and we enjoyed it immensely! However, Abel had a few specific harsh criticisms. Is he being too hard on the product? Probably. Also, Chris went out to ROW this past weekend and gave a short report of his experience out there. 

HWR #144 08/04/15 No More Bubblegum

It was yet another sad week for the wrestling world. The great "Rowdy" Roddy Piper passed away. We talked all about the sad news and the guys shared some of their personal favorite moments from Piper's career. That bled in to talk about Dana White and his comments about wrestling before "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey big UFC title defense. Was it all a work? Is Dana just a douche? Of course there was a lot to get to in WWE talk as well! Rollins, Neville, Cena, Brock and Taker were all focal points of this week's discussion! Also, Ultima Lucha is upon us and what a great start! we look forward to this week's big season finale! ROH had a couple good matches on tv this week! Oh and Chris spoils all of TNA's upcoming story-lines. JERK! We also had a big announcement! Able is going to be the ring announcer for Texas All Pro Wrestling! HWR #143 07/27/15 Oh Brother!

So by now everyone has heard the news of Hogan and his racist remarks. Now hear ours! We really spent a lot of time talking about that and Cena's broken nose to start off the show! Also, Ultima Lucha starts this week and we are super excited! ROH had a clip show and we had a couple things to say about that. Eva Marie had her first match on NXT and our opinion of it might surprise you! Lastly, this past weekend Abel and Chris went out to TAP Wrestling they recounted their time out there.

HWR #142 07/21/15 Hooray Boobs!

If you went to Doomsday Wrestling this past weekend, then you know the power that can hide inside a pair of fake breasts! Also, the girls are kicking butt on WWE programming! Hooray! Super Cena strikes again at WWE Battleground! Boo! Oh and Undertaker took his memory pills and recalled that he has a 1 1/2 year old beef to settle with Brock Lesnar! NXT had some interesting news hit us this week that got all of Houston in a huff! Ultima Lucha is approaching and the card is looking strong! We discuss all this and more in the new episode! 

HWR #141 07/14/15 Wrestling Diabetes

This past weekend was the great Bustin 4 Autism charity event presented by Lone Star Championship Wrestling and Clutch City Productions! And boy was it a great event! However, it was mired a bit in controversy with the no-show by Alberto El Patron. We talked all about the no-show, the replacements, the signings, the wrestling and the overall feel of the show! Then we had a great interview with Doomsday Wrestling promoter Tex Lonestar! Doomsday is having their 25th show this weekend and it was great to have Tex behind the HWR mic again! Also, per usual, we covered this past week's Lucha Underground, NXT, ROH and TNA programs! Then we had to preview WWE Battleground ppv! Finally, we went over the results of this past week's round of voting for HWR SummerSlam Showdown! It's a huge  show but it's jam-packed with great content! 

HWR #140 07/07/15 bWo Bella World Order

It was a crazy week and it's going to be an even crazier weekend! First we touched on the happenings in ROH, TNA and Lucha underground! That led us to our special guest interview for the week with Lucha Underground superstar Ivelisse! We discussed her career, her time in WWE, her time in Lucha Underground, how she viewes inter-gender matches and her big upcoming match this weekend at the Bustin For Autism event presented by Lone Star Championship Wrestling and Clutch City Productions against Barbi Hayden and Candice LaRae! Afterwards, we previewed said event and, oh boy, is it a stacked card! The last half of the show was dedicated to WWE. We reviewed the Beast In The East event as well as RAW. Did Balor vs Owens have the best match this week or was Cena vs Cesaro II the more exciting contest? Was either a candidate for our Match Of The Year? Find out! Finally, we looked at this week's votes for our HWR SummerSlam Showdown! 

HWR #139 06/30/15 Let's Make A Deal

This week had a lot of  wrestling! Chris and Travis watched Slammiversary and had quite the conversation about the results! Also, ROH had a fantastic tv episode that produced a couple Match Of The Week Candidates and Lucha Underground is doing a good job of building up to Ultima Lucha! After that, we have a great interview with LoneStar Championship Wrestling Cruiserweight Champ and Abel's girlfriend's favorite wrestler, "The Juicy One" Cherry Ramons! We talk about his upcoming match at the July 12th Bustin for Autism event against Joey Ryan! Next, we talk NXT and WWE. Now, NXT, in our opinion, is continuing to slip and we had some criticisms from last week. WWE isn't doing that well either but Cesaro vs Cena was the saving grace of RAW! Finally, we go over the results of the first week of HWR SummerSlam Showdown! This week's episode is a long one but it's a good one!
